Within the COST Action BM1106 GENIEUR the interdisciplinary team of clinical colleagues and basic scientists from WG1 and 2 but also 3 und 4 developed the phenotyping tool for deep characterisation of IBS patients and healthy controls comprising
1. The Case Report Forms (CRF)
2. A set of questionnaires for assessment not only of the gastrointestinal phenotype but also comorbid conditions such as upper GI symptoms, pain somatization as well as psychiatric symptoms such as anxiety and depression.
